Description:

Jacksonville College is seeking applications for the position of Women’s Basketball Head Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of an NJCAA Division 1 basketball program. Commitment to student-athletes and their academic success, as well as athletic success, will be the key measurement of the coach’s effectiveness. The coach will comply with college, conference and NJCAA rules and regulations, working directly with the Athletic Director.The women’s basketball team participates in the Region XIV Athletic Conference.

The job reports to the Athletic Director.

A 4 year degree is required. A master degree is preferred.
Prior experience as a head coach is preferred.
Supervise, care for, and inventory equipment and facility
Make recommendations to the Athletic Director for improvements based on sport evaluations.
Oversee and maintain accurate statistics for team sport working in conjunction with the Athletic Director.
Maintain effective working relationships within the athletic department and the College as a whole in order to contribute to the overall success of all programs.
Monitor expenses and adhere fiscal budget parameters.
Oversee the academic progress of student-athletes on the team.
