Under general direction of the Director of Athletics, the Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for the management of a competitive NCAA DII basketball program, managed in accordance with NCAA, Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC), and Hillsdale College policies and regulations. Areas of responsibility include: management of coaching staff, recruitment of student-athletes, student-athlete development, budget management, adherence to NCAA/GMAC legislation, and other duties as assigned.  Full-time, 12-month position with College benefits package.

1. Plan and execute scheduling for traditional and non-traditional seasons, team travel, lodging, meals, and officials as applicable. 2. Successful recruitment of basketball student-athletes to meet College mission and admission standards and expectations. 3. Preparation and management of program operating budget. 4. Management of scholarship budget and communication with financial aid office when awarding and renewing athletic scholarship offers. 5. Foster a positive and competitive environment. 6. Provide support to academics and monitor academic progress of student-athletes. 7. Plan and coordinate basketball strategy, practices, and skill development of student-athletes. 8. Emphasis on NCAA compliance and continual education of legislation. 9. Plan and execute marketing and fundraising activities as applicable. 10. Attendance at staff meetings, compliance meetings and community engagement activities as needed. 11. Assemble a competitive coaching staff.
