To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to work flexible hours and regular attendance at work are essential functions of this position. The ability to travel locally and out of town on college related business is required.

Provide leadership for the basketball program. Obtain knowledge of current NJCAA, FCSAA, and Conference rules and regulations regarding all areas of compliance. Develop and manage a recruiting plan. Plan, supervise, and conduct practices appropriately to prepare for competition. Schedule all games and travel plans for the team. Coordinate all aspects of game day event operations. Assist with academic advising of student athletes. Monitor academic progress and eligibility status for all members of the team. Monitor athletes on housing scholarship. Manage the budget for all aspects of the team. Assist in a variety of fundraising activities for the sport and the department. Maintain respective facilities and inventory of equipment. Request maintenance and repairs as required. Coordinate communication with web manager as well as local media awareness. Participate in campus and community service projects. Organize and administer youth sports camps and clinics. Attend all related meetings as required. Secondary duties may be assigned as requested by the Athletic Director. Maintain appropriate office hours. Perform other duties as assigned.
