Friends University is seeking to fill the Head Coach Women’s Basketball position in Wichita Kansas.  This position will oversee all areas of the Friends University intercollegiate women’s basketball program.  This includes budget management, personnel management, practice and game planning, recruitment and retention.  To support the Christian mission and values of Friends University and the NAIA champions of Character.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision and management of the Friends University intercollegiate women’s basketball program.  This includes development, execution and assessment of plans for:  budget management, personnel management, recruitment, retention, and day-to-day operations of the program.  Operations include communication regarding facility needs, planning and facilitating practices and game day strategies, supervision and development of coaching staff, and collaboration with Admissions, Financial Aid, FAR, and Associate AD for Compliance and Operations.  Educate student athletes on theory of the game and actual performance expectations.  Support student athletes in academic success, spiritual growth and professional planning.
• Develop fund raising projects and collaborate with the Advancement Department to identify and cultivate donors.  Increase support to the women’s basketball program and Friends Athletics.
• Participate in various community service projects and University events and serve on Friends University committees as requested by the Athletic Director and or University President.
• Complete duties of Game Administrator as assigned.
