The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is a full-time, 12-month position. The head coach is responsible for all aspects of developing and leading a competitive women’s basketball program in the Centennial Conference. This includes but is not limited to: providing effective leadership and day-to-day management of program; coaching; recruiting; fundraising; leadership development; integration of athletics experience into student’s educational experience; adherence to all rules and regulations of NCAA, conference and institution.

Essential Functions:

• Knowledge of and adherence to all applicable NCAA, conference and institutional rules and regulations.
• Provide oversight for all aspects of women’s basketball program, placing emphasis on academic success, leadership development, competitive excellence, and community engagement.
• Effectively teach basketball skills, strategy, and tactics to student-athletes to develop greater knowledge of game, advance competitive experience, and effectively prepare for opponents.
• Identify and recruit student-athletes who fit the College’s academic profile with a demonstrated understanding of Division III academic standards, admission procedures and financial aid rules.
• Responsible for management of administrative functions including team personnel, operating budget, fundraising, parent and alumni relations, and collaborations with other departments to support the College’s mission.
• Perform secondary administrative functions as assigned.
• The ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.
