Doane University invites applications for the position of Head Women’s Basketball Coach.  The Head Women’s Basketball Coach has the responsibility of managing the sport and student athletes in the best interest of Doane University and in accordance with all the rules of the NAIA and the GPAC Conference.  The Head Coach must demonstrate: 1) effective leadership of the team and the Women’s Basketball program; 2) the ability to effectively recruit and retain student athletes; 3) an excellent knowledge of the sport; 4) an outstanding ability to teach the sport to student athletes; and 5) the ability to represent Doane University in a positive and effective manner.  The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is an administrative position.

Qualifications:

• Proven record of integrity, high principles and demonstrated skill in developing and motivating student athletes academically and athletically.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Playing or coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level.
• Valid Nebraska driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the college’s automobile insurance provider is required.
