Carlow University invites applications for the position of Adult Admissions Counselor/Head Women’s Basketball Coach.  This position reports to Director of Adult and Graduate Admissions.  This person is responsible for the recruitment of adult students; meeting prescribed individual program recruitment goals as designated; developing full knowledge of all University programs as well as policies/procedures of both the University and the Admissions Office; and effectively utilizing recruitment strategies throughout all stages of the recruitment cycle.  In addition, this person will have full responsibility of administering the Basketball program including recruitment of qualified student-athletes, hiring and supervision of assistant coaches, planning practices and scheduling appropriate competitions under the guidance and direction of the Director of Athletics.

NATURE OF POSITION:

This person will be responsible for recruiting adult transfer students seeking degree completion, certification, a second degree, readmission, or guest study and the recruitment of traditional students to participate in intercollegiate women’s basketball at the University. The successful candidate must be able to manage the admissions funnel from the inquiry stage through to registration. This will require the ability to prepare reports, set appointments, provide assistance with financial aid, and address other concerns during the enrollment process. The person will also be responsible for participating actively in team recruitment activities, including on and off campus programs; assisting in the development and implementation of marketing/recruiting strategies; and supporting set office policies and procedures. This position requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work in a high-volume, fast-paced and goal-oriented atmosphere both independently, and as part of a unified team.
