Responsible for adhering to all rules and regulations associated with the NJCAA and the sport of women’s basketball. They have primary responsibility for recruiting and coaching eligible student-athletes, organizing, implementing, coordinating and supervising all aspects of the team sport and for attending and running safe practices and games.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree and two years high school or college coaching experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred;
• Knowledge of good practice pertaining to coaching and training techniques, rules and regulations;
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills, organizational ability and effective teaching/coaching skills;
• Demonstrated ability to work with, and within a team and build relationships;
• Proven ability to work with a diverse student, faculty and staff population;
• Basic CPR/first aid knowledge and competence in athletics injury prevention.
• Strong commitment to inclusion and diversity;
• Demonstrated commitment to sportsmanship;
• Knowledge and cultivation of the role of athletics in the overall well being and development of student-athletes;
• A demonstrated understanding of the philosophy of NJCAA Division III athletics.
