Briar Cliff University invites applications for a full-time Head Women’s Basketball Coach to lead and direct all aspects of the program, from the recruitment and development of student-athletes to the establishment of a highly competitive culture centered on a successful student-athlete experience.

The head coach is responsible for planning coaching and practice sessions, developing game strategies, managing and monitoring all operational, fiscal, and administrative activities for the program, ensuring compliance with NAIA, Great Plains Athletic Conference and Briar Cliff University rules and regulations, recruiting a roster of qualified student-athletes, mentoring and monitoring the academic success of the student-athletes, engaging with the community through service and fundraising, establishing appropriate competitive and developmental goals and objectives for the program and embracing an atmosphere of respect for all persons with the acknowledgment of the values and mission of the university.

Required qualifications are: Bachelor’s degree, experience of hiring and coordinating staff, team building and managing program, demonstrated leadership and ability to teach skills and fundamentals, excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to details. Desirable qualifications are: Master’s degree as well as previous collegiate coaching experience as a head coach with a successful record in an NAIA and/or NCAA DI or II school.
