Position Summary: 

Perkiomen School seeks a Head Girls Basketball Coach for the 2021-2022 school year. This coach works closely with the Director of Basketball Operations and is responsible for the developing a national level program.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Work with the Athletic Director and Director of Basketball Operations to build a highly competitive program at a dynamic, forward-thinking prep school that is able to compete at a high level while also embodying Perkiomen’s spirit of sportsmanship, integrity, dignity, respect in competition and excellence in the classroom.
• Oversee the Girls’ Varsity basketball program – this includes year-round training program for athletes with an emphasis on skill development and strength and conditioning, creating a competitive schedule, practice planning, and game management.
• Recruit high character individuals to Perkiomen School that are mission appropriate student-athletes
• Assist in the placement of student-athletes to top colleges and universities that are the right fit.
• Teaching 4 assigned sections
• Writing grade and advisor comments about students
• Writing recommendations to college and various enrichment programs on behalf of individual students
• Serving the school’s residential and student life program one weeknight per week and one weekend per month
• Serving as an advisor to a select number of students
• Serving as a club leader as part of our Lunch Period Enrichment program

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts degree
• Collegiate playing experience and/or professional playing experience
• Experience teaching and working closely with adolescents of various ages
• Desire to be actively engaged in the school community
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to support the residential life needs of a boarding school community
