Virginia University of Lynchburg is seeking applications for the position of Head Women Basketball Coach to begin May 2015. This is a full-time, 10-month position reporting to the Director of Athletics. Responsibilities include the leadership, organization, administration and supervision of all aspects of the intercollegiate women’s basketball program, including but not limited to: Recruiting qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success, in collaboration with the Admission Office; Planning , scheduling, organizing and conducting practices and competitions, including necessary travel, accommodations and meals: Providing feedback and evaluation to student-athletes as to potential, progress, and performance; Demonstrating a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes by monitoring and actively encouraging participants to the succeed academically and represent the College with the utmost integrity; Managing resources and budgets; Conducting fundraising and alumni development activities as appropriate, under the guidelines of the Department of Athletics.
