Villa Maria College has recently announced the launch intercollegiate athletics for the fall of 2015. The college seeks a qualified candidate to become the inaugural head coach of women’s Basketball. This is a part-time, head coach position.
Villa Maria College is a small, private, Catholic college located in Buffalo, NY. The school has recently launched athletics to help fulfill its visionary plan and to help grow the institution. Over the next few years the college plans to add more sports and make application to the NCAA Division III. In year one, we will start men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s basketball. Until the institution makes application for NCAA DIII, we will play an intercollegiate club schedule.

The Head Coach position manages all aspects of the program as overseen by the Director of Athletics. The Head Coach works independently but is also responsible for communicating with athletic staff to manage all practice and game preparation and logistics, hiring of coaching staff, season administration, athletic training, travel and recruitment of new players for the program. Recruitment and retention of players are both key and priority aspects of this position.
