This incumbent will develop and maintain a competitive Division II women’s basketball program in a manner compatible with the department and University philosophy, and in compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations with the highest regard for the student athlete experience. -Supervises and evaluates the assistant coaches and team staff -Plans and oversees team practices, game preparations and scouting of opponents -Responsible for the oversight and monitoring of academic progress of student athletes -Serves as an integral part of achieving fund raising, budget and community service goals -Support the UMD Athletics mission of excellence in the Classroom, Community and Competition; while furthering the strategic plan of UMD -Perform other duties as assigned
