This position coordinates a highly competitive Division I Women’s Basketball team. Responsibilities include recruiting and coaching student athletes, organizing and conducting practices and competitions, and administering and promoting all phases of the Women’s Basketball Program. Ensures compliance with NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the area of Women’s Basketball.
Job Duties: The organizing and administering of all phases of a NCAA Division I women’s basketball program; Ensures both personal and program compliance with NCAA, SEC and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the Women’s Basketball program; Evaluating and recruiting qualified student-athletes to the University of Georgia whose athletic and personal skills make them highly competitive in the SEC and nationally, and whose academic potential makes them good candidates for a meaningful academic experience and graduation at the University of Georgia; coordinating recruiting travel and visit itineraries; Monitoring and supporting the academic success of student- athletes; Overseeing conditioning programs; Hiring, supervising, and evaluating coaches and staff; Managing budgets; Participating and supporting public relations, fundraising and promotional activities; Performing other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director.
