Oglethorpe University is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic professional to serve as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach. The Head Coach is responsible for all phases of growing a competitive basketball program which competes in the Southern Athletic Association. The Head Coaches’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to: knowing and abiding by all University, NCAA and Southern Athletic Association rules and regulations; coaching; recruiting; monitoring scholar-athlete academic progress; budgeting; and scheduling. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and have a successful coaching record in a competitive basketball program. The successful candidate must also provide positive leadership in all aspects of the basketball program and must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with all internal and external patrons. Other job duties and responsibilities are to be determined by the Director of Athletics.
A Bachelor’s degree is required and a minimum of three years coaching experience at the collegiate level.
