A. Available for coaching duties on all weekday afternoons, including weekends, for the duration of the specified season for the varsity sport, to conduct practice sessions and contests which are scheduled.
B. Conduct all practice sessions and direct all scheduled varsity games.
C. Report all accidents which occur during practice or in a competitive contest to the Director on the accident report form provided by the Athletic Department.
D. Coordinate and be accountable for the issuance and collection of all equipment and supplied.
E. Drive College vehicles as required to away games.
F. Attend all department and coaches’ meetings as well as athletic recognition functions and other related activities.
G. Actively recruit high school athletes and establish good working relations with high school coaches and administrators.
H. Monitor student athletes’ academic loads; direct student athletes to Admissions, Registration and Financial Aid for OCC process.
I. Recommend to the Director of Athletics those students who should receive athletic awards.
J. Prepare an annual report at the conclusion of the sport season and submit requirements for new equipment and supplies for the following season.
K. Submit on a weekly basis all necessary reports and statistical data as required.
L. Responsible for publicity coverage of the sport which will include releases to the local news media and be available for personal interviews.
M. Perform other duties as assigned. (M.E.)
