The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for providing vision, motivation and direction to the Women’s basketball program at Millsaps College. The position reports directly to the Director of Athletics and Recreation. This position shares responsibility for the success of the Athletics programs and Student Life programs at Millsaps College.

Primary Responsibilities • Comprehend the NCAA Division III philosophy emphasizing academics, athletics, and the overall student experience; • Supervise assistant coaches and intern-coaches • Recruit and evaluate high school and college athletes within college admissions and NCAA Division III guidelines • Provide for all videotape exchanges with conference and non-conference opponents • Provide on court coaching of athletes’ skill development and improvement • Monitor academic progress by student athletes involving regular grade reports, study hall, and time management/study skills seminars • Coordinate team travel and logistics with bus charter companies, lodging, and meals • Assist and monitor athletes’ physical development for preseason and summer workouts • Scout and analyze opponents
