Lewis & Clark College seeks an energetic and personable individual who has demonstrated the ability to lead a comprehensive and high quality intercollegiate Division III women’s basketball program that embodies the values of the NCAA Division III philosophy and the role of recreation, physical education and athletics within a private, liberal arts college setting.
The Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a high quality Intercollegiate Women’s Basketball program. These include recruitment, training, and monitoring of academically and athletically gifted student-athletes and cultivation of players’ leadership skills on the court, in the classroom, and in campus life. Effective supervision of assistant coaches, use and understanding of social media, and engagement of alumni are vital aspects of the job. Responsible fiscal management of the program both from a planning and operational standpoint is essential. The Coach must possess a thorough understanding of the Division III philosophy and NCAA guidelines. The successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in departmental, campus, and community life.
