Heidelberg is a NCAA Division III institution, a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference and its 18 varsity teams have achieved success at the conference, regional, and national levels. The Head Women’s Basketball Coach reports to the Director of Athletics and is a full-time 10 month position. The candidate is expected to have an in depth knowledge of all aspects of administering a college basketball program in accordance with NCAA and OAC regulations. We are committed to the Division III vision of enabling the academic and career success of our student athletes. Further, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in accelerating the academic performance and matriculation of student athletes, excellent leadership both in recruitment and retention of student athletes, and a solid on-court performance record. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: travel, budget management, scheduling, fundraising, oversight of assistant coaches, and public relations. The position will also involve secondary administrative and physical education responsibilities within the department.
