Gettysburg College is seeking an experienced Head Women’s Basketball Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month administrative position reporting to the Director of Athletics. The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership, organization, administration and supervision of all aspects of the Division III women’s basketball program, including, but not limited to:
-recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success;
-planning, scheduling and organizing practices and competitions, including travel, accommodations and meals;
-budget management;
-organize team fundraising efforts and alumni activities;
-work cooperatively with department offices, including athletic communications, athletic training and equipment room staffs in regard to public relations efforts, practice coordination and team uniform/equipment needs;
-hiring and supervising assistant coaches;
Additional responsibilities may include coaching a second sport and/or administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
