Franklin Pierce University, a NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Northeast-10 Conference, is seeking an enthusiastic individual for a full-time position of a Head Coach Women’s Basketball. As an integral member of the Athletics Coach staff, this position reports directly to the Director of Athletics. The position is a full-time, 12-month coaching position that is responsible for working directly with the women’s basketball team.

The Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of the program development for the varsity Women’s Basketball program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all components of coaching within institutional, conference and NCAA Division II regulations, scheduling, budget management, scouting, recruitment and retention of student-athletes.

Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree but a Master’s would be preferred. A minimum of two years working in a campus or athletic environment is required. The individual must possess good organizational, oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of athletic recruitment methods and techniques, and financial/business analysis techniques as recruiting skills are essential in this role. An in-depth knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations and guidelines governing the recruitment and retention of student-athletes is required. Skills in budget preparation and management strongly preferred. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and be available for travel both locally and nationally with the team, as required.
