Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for a highly competitive women’s basketball program which competes in the North Star Athletic Association and NAIA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: knowing and abiding by all University, NAIA and North Star Athletic Association rules and regulations; coaching, recruiting, monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress, budgeting and scheduling, organization and implementation of practice and game plans. Instructor of Health and Physical Education provides teaching and expertise in health and physical education to related departments and programs; participates in appropriate professional development; provides service to the university and serves western North Dakota as a resource within area of expertise. Sports Marketing Information Director (SMID) is responsible for all athletic media communications and game day operations.

The SMID is responsible for compiling and publicizing all sports information for DSU’s intercollegiate athletic programs-including compiling statistics, managing the DSU Blue Hawk athletics website, production of game day programs and recruiting guides, writing press releases about athletic events writing feature stories for the web, for media, and for recruitment material. The SMID plays an integral part in Dickinson State community as the liaison between DSU and our on and off campus community. The position works with university staff, members of the media, community members, Blue Hawk boosters, and the DSU foundation to promote athletic events at Dickinson State University. The SMID extends Blue Hawk hospitality to staff, athletes and visitors to create a positive DSU experience. The SMID also collaborates closely with division staff, coaches, athletes, and visitors to further the goal of creating systems, processes and communications that are systematic, relational, strategic, relevant, integrated and in compliance with all federal, state, league and university policies.
