Dakota State University is seeking applicants for a Head Women’s Basketball Coach. The position will provide effective management for games and practices while providing direction for the academic success of individual student-athletes and the team. Position duties will include, but are not limited to, the organization and administration of all aspects of the Women’s Basketball program. Candidates must demonstrate success in coaching, scouting, talent assessment, recruitment of quality student-athletes, budget management and administrative oversight, compliance with National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) rules, fundraising, and promotion of the basketball program within the region. Candidates must be committed to a philosophy that emphasizes the DSU Champion of Character program and the personal development of student-athletes, as well as the importance of good citizenship, both on and off the court. This twelve-month position also includes additional half-time university job responsibilities, depending on the background and qualifications of the applicant, which may include event management, women’s athletic administration, Title IX administration and compliance, classroom instruction or other administrative functions.
