Administer and direct all aspects of the program. Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all applicable NCAA, conference, department and college regulations that relate to recruiting, daily program management, operation of the individual sport and general success of the program. Recruit quality student-athletes by means of personal contact and correspondence, evaluating ability in person or by videotape, and on-campus visits. Work closely with the Compliance officer, Admissions office and Financial Aid in the recruiting process. Develop an annual line-item budget and closely monitor the allocation and expenditures of funds to maintain a balanced budget. Plan and carry out in-season conditioning and practices and evaluate team and individual performance. Prepare and carry out off-season conditioning, practice and other related activities. Establish team and individual goals. Prepare game plans from personal scouting reports. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of athletic conditioning and team training and safety. Schedule and conduct prospective player tryouts (walk-ons or potential recruits). Attend staff meetings of Athletic Department. Oversee home event management. Monitor and promote student-athlete academic progress and success. Administer and coordinate all equipment and uniform purchases within budgetary limitations. Promote, as well as monitor, the physical, emotional and social welfare of student-athletes. Develop and implement team fundraisers. Participate in department fundraisers`. Ensure that all financial requests are handled according to department and college policy. Plan and implement procedure for home and away contests (food, travel, cash requests). Maintain a complete inventory of all equipment and uniforms pertaining to the sport. Perform other duties not specifically stated herein but deemed essential to the operations of the program as assigned by the Athletic Director.
