The Head Coach is responsible for leading and developing the women’s basketball program while providing Christian leadership principles to a successful basketball program within the framework of the mission of the university and the intercollegiate athletic department. In addition, the Head Coach is to establish an environment in which student-athletes develop as well as mature spiritually, academically, socially, and athletically with the purpose of each performer and team reaching their fullest potential. The Head Coach will submit a projected yearly budget. Additional responsibilities may be assigned depending on prior experience and background. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university with a master’s degree preferred. Candidate must be highly motivated and have successful coaching experience in a competitive athletic program at the collegiate or high school level and/or three to five years related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. The ability to recruit and motivate student-athletes, a strong commitment to academic success as well as a clear understanding and commitment to the NAIA philosophy and the role of intercollegiate athletics within the university mission. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
