Columbia College, an NAIA school and a member of the American Midwest Conference has an opening for a Women’s Head Basketball Coach. The College will be filling this position immediately to aggressively recruit student-athletes throughout the year.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: directing the intercollegiate Basketball Team for Women; administer a competitive program; organize, supervise, and maintain a schedule of practices and events; teach theories of coaching class, maintain the integrity of the athletic program through knowledge and application of NAIA rules and regulations; demonstrate a working knowledge of NAIA rules; Inform and educate student-athletes of all appropriate NAIA eligibility rules; recruit qualified student-athletes; maintain a balanced basketball budget; be supportive of all athletic teams; and be active in department-wide fund raising and related professional duties.
Minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in related field preferred. Coaching experience in the sport of basketball. Coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred. Candidate must be able to successfully qualify as an approved driver with Columbia College. Must have the ability and enthusiasm to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
