Manages daily administrative and coaching duties of the women’s basketball program while adhering to Bowie Status University (BSU), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) regulations and policies; assists the athletic department in fundraising and public relations programs; plans and implements the recruitment of prospective student athletes; schedules competitive competition and maintains fiduciary control of all budget allocations; demonstrates excellent professional and interpersonal communication skills with students, alumni, staff, administration, media, and the general public; develops a coaching staff that adheres to all regulations, guiding principles and policies of BSU, the NCAA, and the CIAA; demonstrates and maintains a high level of sportsmanship at all times; emphasis must be on the educational welfare of the student athlete while striving for excellence within the institution’s mission and in the field of competition.
