Berea College has an opening for a Head Women’s Basketball Coach and Eligibility and Compliance Officer. The Coach/Compliance Officer is responsible for working with coaching staff to clear all recruited student-athletes through the NAIA Eligibility Center/NCAA eligibility processes and serve as point of contact for recruits and their families on all athletic eligibility-related issues. This person will serve as the liaison between national office (NAIA/NCAA) and student-athletes on all eligibility paperwork, processes and conference eligibility requirements. This position involves maintaining eligibility records and providing support of conference/national, reviewing NAIA/NCAA handbooks and remaining current on policy changes, in addition to attending conferences, workshops and trainings on eligibility and compliance issues. Other duties include sharing responsibility for event/program set-up and management, ensuring athletic teams remain in compliance with all national and conference policies by providing trainings to coaches and serving as a consultant while providing assistance in the department’s daily operations.
