Xavier University of Louisiana athletics is currently accepting applications to fill a graduate assistantship in our athletic and recreation department to work in conjunction with our women’s basketball program. Xavier sponsors nine varsity sports that compete in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC). Xavier’s women’s basketball program fields consistent top-25 squads and has won five of the last eight conference tournaments and has qualified for the NAIA national tournament 19 times in the past 22 seasons.

We are seeking a team player to join our staff that has a passion for women’s basketball and wants to gain some experience in a fast paced athletics department.

Responsibilities include assisting the staff with practice, academic progress, strength and conditioning, recruitment and retention of student athletes, video editing and analysis, as well as perform other tasks as needed.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and have previous collegiate playing or coaching/managerial experience.
