Valdosta State University, a NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Gulf South Conference (GSC), seeks applications for a graduate assistant coach position with the women’s basketball program. Successful candidates must pursue a graduate degree in Leadership while serving as a graduate assistant. The graduate assistant includes tuition, fees waiver and a stipend.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Development of the individual players on and off the floor
• Assist the head coach with the day to day responsibilities to manage the team
• Help with planning and leading practices/drills
• Help with game preparation and statistics, including scouting opponents, film
• Academic coach for players
• Serve as an assistant to the recruiting coordinator
• Coordinate travel arrangements
• Help with the planning, organizing, and coaching at camps and clinics
• Social media director
• Other duties as assigned
