Lourdes University, a Franciscan liberal arts institution sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Francis, seeks applicants for a Graduate Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. The position is supervised by the Head Women’s Basketball Coach. The successful candidate will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the Women’s Basketball program team operations and management. Duties will include assisting with daily coaching and practice planning, game preparation and scouting for both fall and spring semesters, seasonal and off-season (fall and spring) conditioning, recruiting of qualified athletes, contacting, hosting, attending tournaments, and maintaining the team database. Additionally, this position will assist with academic retention working with the Academic Support Center on campus and in meetings and perform other job related duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics. Applicants must be admitted to Lourdes University’s graduate program and maintain satisfactory progress (3.0 GPA) towards degree completion to maintain the position. Benefits include tuition waiver for all required credit hours (books, fees and technology fees are not included), a furnished on-campus apartment with paid utilities, Wi-Fi and $8,000 stipend per year.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree and acceptance in Lourdes University’s graduate program is required.  Collegiate basketball experience with 2-3 years of previous coaching experience strongly desired.  Preference will be given to candidates with strong recruiting experience and a strength and conditioning background.
