Description:
Texas Woman’s University – Basketball Program is seeking a highly motivated and eager Graduate Assistant for the 2023-24 academic year. Working nights and weekends is a must and minimal travel may be required.
 
Start Date: August 28, 2023
The primary responsibility will be to assist the head coach in all facets of the program, including the recruitment of student-athletes, organization and planning practices, game preparation, administrative duties, scouting and monitoring of student-athlete academic progress. Previous participation and/or coaching experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • This position can be filled by a graduate student seeking a master’s or doctoral degree.
  •  To receive a graduate assistantship, a student must be admitted to the TWU Graduate School and be accepted into a University graduate program of her/his choice.
  • It is expected that this position will require 20 hours per week. Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Comfort with juggling multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, alumni, coaches, and community.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
