| Description: | Tabor College is seeking applications for a Graduate Assistant for Women’s Basketball.
Responsible for working with the head coach in all aspects of developing a competitive NAIA program with some assignments for athletic administration which will include weight room supervision and other duties as assigned through the athletic department.
Additional Clarification on Coaching Responsibilities: Assist with the administration and daily
operations of the JV program in year one, with the opportunity to assume primary oversight and leadership of the JV program in year two. Assist with practice planning and coaching. Assist with recruiting both on and off campus including talent evaluation at high school, junior college and club events. Organizational duties related to recruiting, fundraising, game day operations and travel. Driving is required for both recruiting and game day travel. Communication with recruits and current players is expected.
Qualifications: Candidate must meet the requirements for admission to Tabor’s graduate school.
Candidate must affirm Tabor distinctives as a decidedly Christian college and articulate a personal relationship with Christ. A Bachelor’s degree is required. Coaching and/or competitive experience is required.
Tabor Graduate Assistant Options:
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) • Master of Business Administration in Sport Management & Leadership (MBA) • Master in Education in Neuroscience & Trauma (MEd) – Only two candidates are admitted per year and the candidate must have obtained a valid teaching licensure.
Start Date: August 1, 2026
Length of Appointment: 2 years
Responsibilities: Assistant coaching duties under the direction of the head women’s basketball
coach and/or his designee. Includes but not limited to on court and tournament coaching, social media and recruiting, equipment management, practice planning, leading and pastoring of students.
Benefits of Position: $3,500 stipend per academic year, full tuition waiver, books and fee waiver,
one meal per day Monday through Friday in the Tabor cafeteria when it is open. Living expenses are the responsibility of the successful candidate. |
