Description:

Point University, an upcoming member of the Southern States NAIA Conference provides an opportunity to work in a NAIA Women’s Basketball program coming off a Conference Championship.  This graduate assistant will work with our coaching staff in all aspects of running a top tier NAIA program at Christian University.  Primary responsibility is to support the head women’s basketball coach, assistant coach, in daily women’s basketball duties.  Candidates should possess an enthusiasm for working with student-athletes, a strong basketball background, excellent oral, written communication skills, a solid work ethic to compete for conference championships.  `This candidate must have strong computer skills and organizational skills.  Proficient in video and film is a plus.

       Requirements:

*Bachelor’s degree is required

      Preferred requirements:

  • Organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and social media
  • Knowledge with Photo Shop and creating graphics.
  • Great organization skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with film and video

 

         Responsibilities

  • The candidate will be responsible for contributing to various aspects of the program, including recruiting, coaching, video and equipment duties, and other task and duties assigned by the head coach.
  • Individual skill development with players
  • Court Preparation
  • Practice Preparation
  • Assisting with strength and conditioning activities
  • Video analysis
  • Assist with team travel.
  • Running camps and clinics
  • Helping to ensure team compliance with all NAIA and institutional, rules and regulations.
