More than 2,500 people witnessed the dedication of College Misericordia (whose name means “heart of mercy”). In September of 1924, 37 students began their studies sharing the Sisters’ motto: “Mulier Fortis,” representing valiant women trained in scholarship and spirituality.

In 2007, Misericordia achieved university status, further enhancing the institution’s reputation for quality academics and an expanding scale of co-curricular offerings.
