Embry-Riddle University, a NCAA Division II member of the Sunshine State  Conference (SSC), is seeking qualified applicants for the Women’s Basketball  Graduate Assistant position. The position is a two-year track with opportunity  to receive a Master’s degree and a stipend.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: The  Women’s Basketball Graduate Assistant will assist in the day to day operations  of the women’s basketball program. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Assist with the day to day operations of the program.
  2. Assist in providing individual skill development and instruction.
  3. Assist with scouting, film breakdown, and game preparation.
  4. Assist with the evaluation, recruitment, and retention of student

athletes.

  1. Assist with monitoring student-athlete academic progress and ensure  compliance with NCAA, College, and conference regulations.

  1. Assist with social media management, engage in various community  service projects, and organization of travel logistics.
  2. Effectively connect within the athletic department for program needs.  8. Other administrative duties as assigned.
  3. Assist with implementation and execution of team travel and game day  logistics.
  4. Assist with supervision of team managers
  5. Assist with maintaining an atmosphere of compliance within the  women’s basketball program and athletic department as a whole. 12. Starting date is approximately August 1st, 2023 (but flexible)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor’s degree is required.  Admission into Embry-Riddle University’s graduate program is required.  Previous experience playing and/or coaching basketball preferred. Excellent  organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and  strong attention to detail. Must be self-motivated, team-oriented, and have  ability to build positive and meaningful relationships
