Winthrop University, a Division I member of the Big South Conference, and located in Rock Hill, South Carolina, is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. Under the direction of the head coach, the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach will assist in the planning, promotion and administration of a quality Division I basketball program. Counsel and monitor student-athletes in academics, athletics and personal matters. Serve as player development coordinator and assist in developing a strong recruiting base of top-quality athletes. Duties include assisting in maintaining a competitive Division I schedule, floor practices, and promotions. Assist head coach in all basketball-related matters. Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach. This is a 12-month full-time appointment. Coaches are responsible for adhering to the policies, procedures and regulations of Winthrop University, the Big South Conference and the NCAA. Salary dependent upon experience and qualifications.
