VCU Athletics is seeking a talented Director of Women’s Basketball Operations to:

– Keep accurate files to maintain and remain in compliance with University, A-10, and NCAA rules and regulations, especially regarding the Women’s Basketball budget;
– Organize team travel, including hotels, meals, and practice times;
– Act as liaison between women’s basketball and facilities and athletic administration;
– Assist in creation of mail-outs and communication plans;
– Organize daily summer basketball scheduling;
– Organize and supervise community outreach for the women’s basketball program;
– Supervise and oversee student managers; and
– Promote execution of the Athletic Department’s strategic plan by adhering to its mission and core values and acting upon its goals and strategies.

Minimum hiring standards include:
– A bachelor’s degree;
– Valid driver’s license; and
– Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred hiring standards include:
– Experience working in an NCAA Division I program;
– Previous playing experience in the sport of basketball; and
– An advanced degree or training and work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree.
