The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for a Director of Women’s Basketball Operations. This is a full-time, 1 year term position with possibility of extension, with a salary range of $43,000 – $50,000, and includes full University benefits. Responsibilities: The Director of Women’s Basketball Operations is responsible for providing oversight of women’s basketball day-to-day administrative operations.

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• One year of related administrative experience in Athletics, organizing and managing complex functions.
• Working knowledge and ability to:
  • Utilize basic office productivity software and online database systems (please specify).
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills interacting with vendors, travel agencies, event managers, and customers/donors/fans.
  • Work constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Work effectively in a highly regulated team environment.
• Valid U.S. driving license and the ability to meet and maintain the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standards.

• Master’s degree
• Division 1 women’s basketball playing experience highly preferred.
• Women’s basketball coaching experience is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge and ability to:
  • Utilize video and analytical technology specific to the sport of basketball (please specify programs used).
  • Utilize web and mobile team communication application such as Teamworks (please specify).
  • Organize and execute camps and clinics.
  • Maintain productive relationships with staff, students, prospects’ coaches, and/or patrons.
