Description:

The Intercollegiate Athletics department at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites applicants for the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations position.  Fully certified at the Division I level by the NCAA, SIUE is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference, the Mid-American Conference (MAC) (men’s wrestling), and the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) (men’s soccer).

Reporting to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics, the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations assists with monitoring academics, recruitment, compliance reporting, community services, team travel, fund raising, organization of practices, and any other area of responsibility as directed by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics.  This position will act as the main women’s basketball staff contact for other department and campus units as well as serve as sole coordinator and administrator for all camps and clinics, requiring independent judgment in decisions regarding marketing strategies, design, scheduling, etc.

The Director of Women’s Basketball Operations may be assigned other related duties as assigned in support of the department’s mission and goals.  Due to the nature of the position early morning, evenings, and weekend hours will be required. Extensive travel during basketball season is also required.
