Job Summary:

Coordinates and performs a variety of administrative, fiscal, planning and staff support activities for the women’s basketball program. Serves as primary point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external constituencies, often on complex and confidential issues. Manages all team travel arrangements and serves as liaison to visiting teams. Coordinates and facilitates team functions, community service projects, camps and clinics sponsored by the women’s basketball program. Schedules the Head Coach’s personal appearances, and performs other administrative duties that support the basketball program, the coaches and student athletes. Travels with team to all games. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree. Experience applicable to the duties listed. Knowledge of budgeting and cost control practices. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies. Proven organizational skills and ability to coordinate and negotiate travel arrangements, special programs and events. Ability to analyze and solve problems, gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. PC proficiency and internet research skills. Ability to deal with short notice change and competing priorities. Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Ability to manage personnel resources. Ability to maintain confidentiality on a wide range of issues. Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel with team to all games.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration. Previous experience in a college/university athletics department. Experience in athletics as a coach, team manager, graduate assistant or intern. Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
