Description:

USC Athletics is looking to hire a Director of Video to join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals.  This role is responsible for practice, game, and scouting video analysis and analytics for the Women’s Basketball program. This individual will utilize various pieces of information to develop models and reports that assist in game plan.

Reporting directly to Lindsay Gottlieb (Head Coach, Women’s Basketball), the Director of Video will work in collaboration with the coaching staff and operations staff. The ideal candidate will have experience with Hudl Sportscode, Synergy, and/or other video platforms, as well as excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. Knowledge of and experience working in higher education preferred. Understanding of the unique culture and needs of college athletes preferred.

This is an exempt position with work expected outside of traditional hours, including evenings and weekends. Travel with the team is required.

Roles and responsibilities to include:

  • Film review/breakdown of our team, future opponents, and recruits.
  • Oversee all advance scouting of future opponents and work with the assigned assistant coach.
  • Filming workouts/practices.
  • Charting/data collection during CARA.
  • Assist with on-campus recruiting visits (both unofficial and official).
  • Assist with marketing of program.
  • Assist with creating recruiting videos.
  • Support coaching staff with overall recruiting plan and needs assessment.
  • Promote an environment that fosters inclusive relationships and creates unbiased opportunities for contributions through ideas, words, and actions that uphold principles of the USC Code of Ethics.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of experience. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
  • Proficient with video systems (Hudl Sportscode, Synergy) and Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in higher education and/or a sports related field ideal.
