Description:

The Director of Video Content position is responsible for creating and implementing all aspects of video for the day-to-day operation, recruiting content, and the marketing and branding for student-athletes. This position will assist the women’s basketball program with carrying out the athletic department and team’s mission statement to recruit and retain the best student-athletes for the University of Oklahoma.

The Director of Video Content will develop weekly, monthly, and annual content coverage plans for the program, and current and potential student athletes. The content produced will drive fan affinity, promote the overall Oklahoma brand and generate engagement through all video media platforms. This position will work closely with NIL, Digital, Marketing, Ticketing, Sooner Sports Properties and Communications departments.

The ideal candidate will display a high aptitude for video content production, including cinematography and post-production video treatment. A high importance will be placed on the candidate’s demo reel, content, and internal and external collaboration.

Individual must possess excellent logic, troubleshooting, and technical skills, and demonstrate an excellent ability to story tell. Work must be done in a highly organized manner with a strong attention to detail. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Essential Functions:

  • Create cutting-edge video content for marketing and branding for the program, and current and potential student-athletes
  • Collaborate with internal and external operations in the development and execution of strategic plans, including (but not limited to), NIL, recruiting, digital storytelling, brand and marketing plans
  • Content preparation and creation
  • Work with Communications, Creative and Digital departments to assess the impressions/engagements of content displayed across digital media; provide performance reports
  • Assist in campus official, unofficial and virtual recruiting visits
  • Assist in game and practice video breakdown for coaching staff and student-athletes (as needed)
  • Maintaining video computer equipment, editing equipment, and software programs
  • Provide support in day-to-day operations of basketball program
  • Proactive compliance practices for prospective student-athletes
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach
