To assist in coaching, recruiting, counseling, conditioning, evaluating for the women’s basketball team during transition of vacant coaching positions; assists with administrative tasks related to the women’s basketball program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implements coaching and teaching methods to develop student-athlete’s athletic skills and analyzes performance of student-athletes during times of transition in coaching staff; assists the recruiting coordinator in the recruiting process including arrangement of meals and entertainment, arrangement of transportation, arrangement and conducting of tours, preparation and review of recruiting documentation.

Assists with team marketing and promotional activities, attends promotional events, community activities, and fundraisers; prepares promotional materials for distribution; prepares and delivers speeches and presentations at local community groups, fundraisers, athlete events, etc.; coordinates summer jobs program and community outreach.

Assumes responsibility for the oversight of the administrative operations of the women’s basketball program; coordinates team travel, game day operations, practice security, and court set-up; coordinates video exchange; serves as liaison to campus departments as required; assists in youth camp management; evaluates and implements equipment and facility needs.

Oversees assigned course loads; compiles lesson plans and related course materials; receives and responds to student inquiries; provides instruction to students in applicable subject matter; reviews student performance to determine appropriate grade or credit.

Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
