This position exists to provide direct assistance to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach to assist with the day-to-day non-coaching responsibilities. This position will be expected to work directly with the head coach and other support staff areas to within the department to effectively promote and market both the women’s program and the Head Coach.

This position is expected to assist the Head Coach with managing all logistical aspects of the program. Main duties of the position include, but are not limited to, coordinating staff and team travel and logistics, direct program contact for all other UNLV departments, daily office operations, budget preparation and management, manage all home game logistics, on-campus recruiting logistics, training table coordination, camps/clinics budgets and all logistics, manage and coordinate all special program events.

This position is also expected to assist the student-athletes in understanding the overall academic and athletic mission of UNLV; promote and foster academic success; contribute to the overall development of the athlete in meeting the intellectual and ethical challenges and values of life and responsible citizenship by enhancing critical thinking, leadership skills, and social integrity; and accomplish recognition as one of the top Women’s Basketball programs in the Mountain West Conference.

In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining balance of loyalty and team building in order to continue to develop a positive environment for the student-athletes, community, and the University. The Head Coach will assign the Director of Basketball Operations responsibilities that are deemed necessary to effectively develop and enhance the overall philosophy of the Head Coach.

This position should have a basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment. In addition, this position will be responsible for obtaining proper guidance or approval from Athletics Compliance, prior to participating is select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.
