The University of Vermont is accepting applications for the position of Director of Basketball Operations, Women’s Basketball position. This position provides day-to-day oversight of administrative and operational functions for the basketball program. This position works closely with the head coach and basketball coaching staff, in the overall direction of a successful, Division I basketball program. The candidate must be committed to the student-athlete’s academic, personal, and athletic growth, and development. Candidates must support institutional initiatives to create a diverse and inclusive environment.

Job Responsibilities (Essential Duties): Assists the Head Coach in various administrative assignments. Support student-athletes’ academic careers. Manage day to day operations of Basketball office. Coordinate travel and meals for team, coaches, and associated personnel. Manage travel and general budget. Schedule meetings and other team functions. Coordinate recruiting visits for prospective student-athletes. Manage, develop, and incorporate social media exposure. Manage and ensure technology systems and software are properly installed and maintained. Handle all meals and refusing options. Organize complimentary tickets. Coordinate basketball camps and clinics, including communication, outreach, recruitment. Manage special projects as assigned by the basketball coaching staff. Attend CPR and other safety classes arranged by Athletics and receive certificate. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Adhere to all NCAA, America East and the University of Vermont rules and regulations.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; 1-3 years of successful collegiate experience, preferably at the Division I level; strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; a record of integrity and leadership; a demonstrated commitment to issues of social justice and diversity and a commitment to the academic success and graduation of student-athletes. Additional skills preferred but not required; Microsoft Office Suites, MAC Interface, ARMS, JustPlay, Synergy and digital design. Candidates must be able to travel extensively. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
