The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at West Virginia University is seeking applications for the position of Coordinator of Player Development for Women’s Basketball. The position will report to the Director of Basketball Operations/Assistant to the Head Coach and will be expected to foster an environment that promotes the well-being and personal development of student-athletes on the women’s basketball team.

In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:

• Serve as the liaison to the department’s academic and student-athlete development program.
• Assist with outreach coordination, involving alumni, Hoops and Heels, Carey’s Crew and season-ticket base.
• Function as a community liaison for appearances and speaking appearances on behalf of the women’s basketball program and coaching staff.
• Organize community outreach activities and assist with on-campus recruiting activities.
• Assist with the coordination of on-campus recruiting activities and coordinate scheduling and on-court recruiting activities. 
• Design and distribute recruiting documentation.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Basketball Operations and/or Head Women’s Basketball Coach. 

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• One (1) year of previous experience in athletics administration or collegiate basketball environment, preferably at the Division I level; experience as a graduate assistant may also be accepted
• Ability to maintain a high standard of ethics and integrity related to intercollegiate athletics
• Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics
