Description: | The Athletics Department at Iowa State University is seeking applicants for an entry level position to support the NCAA DI women’s basketball program. Duties include: assist the coaching staff with coordination of all aspects of video including practice film, self-scouts and opponent scouts to aid in player development and team success; assist the coaching staff with coordination of all aspects recruiting operations including but not limited to on-campus visits, creation and distribution of recruiting materials, and social media; assist Director of Operations with day-to day operations of the student managers, organization of team travel and coordination of summer camps. The position will be responsible for helping foster an environment that promotes the well-being and personal development of the student-athletes. Responsible for a commitment to adhering to university, Big 12 Conference and NCAA policies, procedures, and regulations. Establish and maintain effective interactions with the university community, alumni, media and the public. The position requires good knowledge of competitive basketball along with high work ethic. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Experience in athletics administration or sports operations that involves solid knowledge of basketball and/or experience competing in or coaching basketball at a highly competitive level. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working for a NCAA DI basketball program. Experience that demonstrates knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Experience using specialized software to breakdown and analyze basketball film. |
