Xavier Athletics is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach to meet the goals of developing an elite-level basketball program with effective management; as well as to promote academic achievement and develop student athletes within the University community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

— Assisting the head coach with all responsibilities involving the women’s basketball program.
— Evaluating and recruiting athletically and academically qualified student-athletes.
— Assist the head coach with monitoring academic progress and the retention of students.
– Assist the head coach with assuming responsibility for sportsmanship, conduct, and academic progress of all students and staff affiliated with the women’s basketball program.
— Assist the head coach with planning practice sessions in accordance with regulations.
— Assist head coach with managing fundraising and alumni relations.
— Supervise graduate assistants and managers.
— Manage equipment and uniform procurement and inventory.
— Be able to coordinate and analyze game film/stats.
— Assist in organizing women’s basketball camps.
— Coordinate team travel.
— Promote the athletic program and basketball program through attending community events, public speaking, fundraising, revenue generation, and marketing.
— Comply with NAIA, conference, and Xavier University of Louisiana rules, regulations, and policies.
— Performs any other job-related tasks deemed necessary and/or assigned by the Head Coach and/or Director of Athletics & Recreation.
