The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach is one of the positions responsible for administering all of the year-round activities of the women’s basketball program. The Assistant Coach is directly responsible to the Head Coach in all matters related to the operation of this program.

The Assistant Coach are responsible for handling game and practice coaching assignments throughout the year, as well as, overseeing strength and conditioning program.

Recruiting prospective student-athletes is an essential element of the Assistant Coach’s responsibility. Development and coordination of recruiting networks are an ongoing activity requiring travel throughout the United States during the entire year. The Assistant Coach will use discretion and personal judgment in the assessment of talent. Once the student-athlete has matriculated, the Assistant Coach is primary in the weekly monitoring of the student-athletes’ academic progress.

Other administrative duties related to this position would include film breakdown and scouting, on-campus recruiting, and speaking engagements.
